MaiMed® FFP2 Respiratory Mask is a filtering half-mask designed to provide reliable protection against solid and liquid aerosols. The mask consists of five high-performance non-woven layers that are optimally coordinated to provide the best possible protection for the wearer and those around them. Designed for single use the mask combines high protection with comfortable wear.
The inner layer effectively absorbs moisture, whilst the hydrophobic outer layer protects against splashes. At the heart of the mask is the highly efficient filter layer, which acts as a barrier against germs and particles. An additional hot-air-treated cotton layer provides pleasant thermal insulation and improves comfort during wear, particularly during prolonged use.
Thanks to its ergonomic fit, the half mask covers the mouth and nose securely. Elastic ear loops ensure a secure fit, whilst the integrated metal nose clip can be individually adjusted to the contours of the face. This achieves a good seal and reduces air leakage at the edges.
Application
MaiMed® FFP2 Respiratory Mask is ideal for professional use in industry, trades, construction and other work environments with high levels of dust and particulate matter. It is also suitable for use in the healthcare sector, care homes and on public transport. The FFP2 mask complies with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal protective equipment and is classified as PPE Category III. This makes it a reliable choice for demanding work environments where enhanced respiratory protection is required.
Before use, the mask should be checked for damage: the mask body must not be deformed, the ear loops and nose clip must be securely attached, and the expiry date must not have passed.
To put on the mask, unfold it, position it over the mouth and nose, and secure it with the ear loops. Then use both hands to adjust the nose clip to the shape of the nose. To check for a seal, place your hands over the mask and exhale forcefully. If air escapes around the nose or at the edges, adjust the fit accordingly.
