MaiMed® silk MR is a water-repellent, silky-soft adhesive plaster specially designed for applications where reliable fixation is required in damp environments. The plaster consists of a sturdy, textile backing with a silky-soft surface that feels comfortable against the skin. Thanks to its hypoallergenic and latex-free adhesive layer, it adheres securely and is gentle on the skin, even on sensitive skin. Its water-repellent properties ensure that the fixation remains secure even when wet.
Application
It is ideal for securing compresses, bandages, venous catheters, cannulas, feeding tubes and tracheostomy tubes, drains, as well as probes and wound dressings, particularly in damp or water-exposed areas. The water-repellent material offers additional protection when in contact with water, whilst still ensuring a stable and secure hold. It is easy to cut to size and tear across the width, enabling quick and straightforward application.
