MaiMed® BT X-ray abdominal drapes are made from high-quality, absorbent cotton material and feature an integrated X‑ray detectable chip. They are specifically developed for use in surgical procedures. Thanks to their high absorbency and soft material, they are highly suitable for haemostasis in the operating theatre. The abdominal pads are available in various pack sizes.
Application
Sterile abdominal drapes are used during surgical procedures and enable efficient absorption of blood and wound fluids. The X‑ray contrast chip allows easy localisation of the pad within the body using radiographic imaging. They are ideal for holding and retracting organs.
After appropriate sterilisation, non-sterile lap sponges may also be used for surgically invasive absorption of blood and secretions in the operating theatre.
