MaiMed® MK X-ray sterile gauze compresses are high‑quality, sterile pads made from 100% cotton and equipped with an integrated X‑ray contrast thread. They are specifically designed for surgically invasive procedures in the operating theatre. Made from 17‑thread medical gauze and available in various versions (see table), these pads offer are highly absorbent soft and skin‑friendly. The folded, enclosed edges provide additional safety during surgical interventions.
Application
Intended for use in surgically invasive procedures in the operating theatre, the X‑ray contrast thread ensures easy localisation of the compresses within the body using X-ray technology. The compresses are used in hospitals during surgical procedures for the absorption of blood and bodily fluids.
